New Mexico’s First Full-Service
Post Production Facility lands,
and takes off, in the heart of
downtown Albuquerque.

Lobby Welcome to Production Central ABQ™, New Mexico’s first full-service Film and TV Post Production facility, located on historic Route 66 in downtown Albuquerque. Production Central ABQ was conceived and created to support the burgeoning film industry that is bringing movies, people, jobs, and cash to the state of New Mexico. The industry will be happy to learn that post production work done here qualifies for the same 25% rebate the state offers on filmmaking, even on movies shot elsewhere. It also applies to post production on other media such as Games and national TV Commercials. Production Central ABQ is proud to offer producers the ability to capitalize on these lucrative incentives.

Mastering A Cool Place for Post: Production Central ABQ is located at 519 Central Ave. NW (old Route 66) in a classic old brick “store front” building. Built as a hotel in 1904, the building maintains its original charm, but has been completely renovated with new floors, roof, bathrooms, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC. The exposed brick walls remain, creating an interesting dynamic of old vs. new; a conceptual space with creative energy, built-out to optimize the production process.

Screening/Dailies Room The Real Deal: Production Central ABQ’s in-house capabilities include 6 fully equipped Final Cut Pro Studio 2 Editing Rooms linked to an Xsan-2 server by fiber optic LAN with 16 terabytes of media storage (30 TB total). The facility also houses a Mastering/Screening Room with an Assimilate Scratch® color grading solution, 92” HD projection, 9.1 Ultra THX® surround.

Conveniently located in the same building is Sound Central ABQ™, a complete sound recording/mixing studio purpose built to support Film and TV post sound requirements, including ADR, Foley, Mixing, and Mastering. And that’s just the upstairs...

The 3,000 sq.ft. ground floor has room for 30 to 40 CGI artist’s stations, with a “break room” area, and a machine room that can accommodate (and cool) several racks of electronic gear and High Performance Computer Rendering Stacks. The building is on the city’s “fiber-optic loop” and can be hooked into Gig/Sec+ connectivity.

Light The retail frontage of the ground floor (the front 10’ of the “storefront”) features Village Coffee Roaster™, a Grab & Go Espresso & Sandwich Bar, serving downtown residents and businesses, as well as the building’s staff.

There is a full square block of parking available at the corner just steps away from the building. The building is equipped with a 24-hour video surveillance / security system. Also nearby are all the creature comforts… good restaurants, sushi, art galleries, movie theaters, live music, yoga, massage, and a great gym.

All the best,

Rick Clemente
